The President of Uganda Musicians Association(UMA), Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy has no nice words for Kenzo and other musicians under the Uganda National Musician Federation(UNMF).
Speaking in an interview with local television, Cindy revealed the artists in the federation lack knowledge about the copyright law and can't claim to be fighting for it.
He described them as ignorant and said they need more time to gather information about the law.
"I am sorry to say but the federation and all the members don't understand what they are doing. When I had just joined UMA, I also didn't know how to handle some things. Members of that federation need to read widely and understand what they are fighting for," she said.
Cindy said Kenzo and his group should be looking at working together with her association and other stakeholders to push the copyright law on the floor of parliament and have it passed by the legislators.
