Musician King Saha snubbed the Uganda Musician Association (UMA) presidential debate which took place on NBS television on Saturday.

Many music fans who were eagerly waiting to hear him speak English for the first time were left frustrated.

While speaking to the media about his absence, he explained he had earlier been booked for a function in Iganga, he couldn't miss it for anything.

He didn't want to disappoint his clients and also needed money to facilitate his presidential campaigns.

"Music is my job. I had earlier been booked for a performance in Iganga. Missing a show can cost you a career you have built for years, I couldn't risk it. I had also used part of the money paid to facilitate my campaigns," he said.

His opponents, Cindy Sanyu and Lord Bitemu participated in the debate.

It should be noted that he also missed the first debate that was organized on Friday at Dembe FM. He claimed he had a toothache.
