Dancehall star Ziza Bafana was king of the dancehall genre around 2012 with his top hits songs dominating the music charts.
He made his breakthrough with his hit single, “Gyayo Ntekeyo” and went on to release  “Pomini” which became a club anthem.

In 2017, he split with his manager, Rodger Lubega and his career started to slow down.

Even though he has struggled to stay relevant in the industry, he still believes his time on the top helped him make a significant impact in the industry.

While appearing at Galaxy FM’s Zzina Awards launch on Wednesday night, Ziza Bafana claimed that he chased the Jamaican music in Uganda.

“I gave the Ugandan music industry direction because I am a music god. I must be respected,” Ziza Bafana said.

In a previous interview about his sinking career, he explained that he is partly to blame for demanding too much from his managers, who opt to ditch him along the way.
