The nominees for the 17th Edition of the Indepedent Music Awards are out and the awarding ceremony will be held at Symphony Space 2537 Broadway in New York City

Our snoop has learnt that the ‘Nsimbi’ duo made up of GNL Zamba and his wife bagged 4 nominations in the Awards.

GNL Zamba announced this through his social media platforms and  a post read, “Nsimbi is excited to perform at the Independent Music Awards in New York City. Nsimbi has been nominated in the following 4 Categories:

Best Debut Album- Nsimbi

Best Worldbeat Song - Leo Ni Leo

Best Spoken Word - Acholi Boy

Best Narrative Music Video - Dunia Ni Matembezi".

These are the first nominations the ‘Nsimbi’ duo has received since forming a partnership.
