Chris Brown, 26, had something major to get off his chest: he loves Rihanna, 27, so much that he had to make the tough decision to never be with her again, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com . While Chris will always love Rihanna, he just can’t bear to break her heart another time.
Chris has been defined largely by his on-again, off-again relationship with Rihanna, including the terrible night in 2007 after the Grammy Awards when he brutally injured her. In the years since, they’ve forged a friendship and flirted back and forth with a relationship, but it’s never worked out because of his womanizing ways. Now Chris is saying that he just can’t get back together with Rihanna and give her any more grief than she’s already faced. He loves her too much.
He knows he loves women and knows he could have just about any one he wants. He realizes that and the last thing he’d ever want to do is hurt his precious Rihanna and not give her what she wants — which is love and a monogamous commitment.”
It’s a very sweet declaration. He wants Rihanna to be happy, with or without him in the picture. Chris has owned up to his reputation and accepted the fact that he can’t handle monogamy; if that’s what Rihanna’s after in a relationship, then they can’t be together. It’s admirable that he can let someone he loves so deeply go to give her that.
Chris Brown Confesses It’s Difficult To Love
Chris’ love for Rihanna has outlasted his other, high-profile relationships that have dominated his life. In his most recent relationship with Karrueche Tran, 27, Chris hasn’t had much luck keeping things together. After spending the July 4 weekend with Karrueche, Chris posted a photo captioned with a message (to his lady?) about how it’s “easy to hate, but difficult to love.”
He’s never written a truer sentence! Now that he’s finally let Rihanna go, it’s possible, though, that he can truly embrace his relationship with Karrueche and mend their broken union. They’ve got a lot to work through!
