Three far-flung female stars are among the first acts reportedly set to appear at record mogul Clive Davis's annual pre-Grammy Awards gala.

Miley Cyrus, Lorde and Jennifer Hudson will perform Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, according to the Associated Press, which added that Davis is promising a surprise appearance by "a music legend."

Lorde, the 17-year-old New Zealand singer and songwriter behind the smash hit "Royals," is nominated for four Grammy Awards at Sunday's ceremony, including song of the year and record of the year.

A deadpan indictment of pop-star consumption run amok, "Royals" topped Billboard's Hot 100 last year for nine straight weeks, sandwiched between repeat visits to No. 1 by Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball."

Despite the success of the latter tune -- and its nudity-enhanced music video -- Cyrus was shut out of the 2014 Grammys (though Dr. Luke earned a nod as producer of the year thanks in part to his work on "Wrecking Ball").

As for Hudson, the AP said the soul singer will perform her new single "I Can't Describe (The Way I Feel)" on Saturday with T.I. and Pharrell Williams.

Hudson appeared last year at Davis' party, one of Grammy weekend's most exclusive events, along with Usher, Patti Smith, Miguel, Gladys Knight, the Lumineers, Emeli Sandé and Afrojack.
