Uganda's prestigious fashion award show, the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (Asfas), might have seen its last edition in 2022, according to its proprietor, Bryan Ahumuza, also known as Abryanz.

"I became bored with my own work," Abryanz stated, explaining his decision to shift focus to the Kampala Brunch. He described Asfas as becoming repetitive, with attendees simply following the same routine year after year.

In contrast, the Kampala Brunch, held monthly, offers a less stressful and more financially rewarding experience for Abryanz. "

The Kampala Brunch is less stressful, has about 300 to 500 people, simple and a smaller version of Asfas," he said. "It happens every month, makes me more money, connects me to different people and easy to execute."

While Asfas ran for eight years, Abryanz said a desire for a change, seeking a less monotonous creative outlet compared to the yearly fashion event.
