Over the weekend, Jamaican dancehall musician Konshens performed at the 2023 edition of Blankets and Wine.

The event took place at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Despite a spirited performance by Konshens, a section of revelers criticized the event organizers for not living up to their promises.

They accused the promoters of poor sound, zero crowd control, and the inflated prices of food and beverages.

Many described the event as a typical downtown Kivulu due to overcrowding and "Kifeesi," which took over people's properties during and after the event.

"Honestly, things were bad. Zero crowd control, the place was too packed, Konshens' performance was rubbish. They've really killed the 'experience' in Blankets and Wine. It's now like a real Kivulu, and the other things that B&W really was are long gone. I'd say 1/10," tweeted Payo Enywaru.

It should be noted that Blankets and Wine has long established itself as one of the best events in Uganda annually.

Other artists who performed alongside Konshens included Jose Chameleon, Elijah Kitaka, Likkle Bangi, Etania, Viana Indi, Jokwiz, and Fem Deejay, among others.
