Popular Dembe FM Mubezi presenter Bina Baibe has upgraded her car after 7 years of driving a Toyota Vitz. The presenter, who has been under pressure from her colleagues, friends, and listeners to upgrade, finally gave in last week and purchased a Subaru Legacy.
The white, double-barrel car, which is registered with the number plate UBF, cost Bina Baibe between 20 to 25 million shillings. She has been using the opportunity to visit relatives whom she hadn't seen in many years.
While Bina Baibe initially expressed her desire to hold onto her beloved Vitz, she eventually decided to sell it and use the money as a top-up to afford the second-hand Subaru Legacy.
"I was really attached to my Vitz, but I couldn't resist the pressure from my loved ones," she said. "The Subaru Legacy is a great car and I'm really enjoying it so far."
Bina Baibe is not the only Ugandan celebrity who has recently upgraded their car. In recent months, there have been a number of high-profile car purchases, including a new Range Rover for singer Sheebah Karungi and a new Mercedes-Benz for comedian Anne Kansiime.
