Upcoming musician Omutuume Planet has responded to Bebe Cool, who recently accused the current crop of musicians of producing bubble gum music that is slowly killing the local music industry.

Bebe Cool specifically mentioned Omutuume Planet's hit song "Chai We Njaye" as an example of music with no lyrical content.

Omutuume Planet has defended his style of music, stating that it is meant to entertain fans of all ages, rather than focusing solely on lyrical content.

“When I heard Bebe Cool trashing my “Chai We Njaye” hit song while on TV, I just sat down and laughed. He didn’t know what he was talking about because music isn’t all about sense or language but packaging something that can be consumed by all fans irrespective of their age,” Omutuume Planet explained.

Omutuume Planet argued that music should be packaged to appeal to fans of all ages, regardless of whether it has deep lyrical content.
