Dancehall artiste Ziza Bafana was briefly arrested in Kabale over the weekend for allegedly failing to honor a booking many years ago.
On a fateful day, the police raided Bafana's show while he was busy performing for the excited crowd. He asked them for 30 minutes to finish the show, and they agreed to his request.
At this moment, he was busy hatching a plan to escape from the venue but unfortunately, the authorities were well-prepared for his arrest.
“The policemen agreed to give me extra 30 minutes. I asked the DJ to play "Embuzzi" which excited the crowd and the police. I saw this as an opportunity to run away, but the guys who wanted me arrested were well prepared. They had planted cops in many corners,” he narrated about his ordeal in Kabale.
Bafana was later released after pleading for mercy while on his knees.
