Media personality Sheila Gashumba believes the media should concentrate on promoting new musicians.

During the After 5 show on NBS TV, Sheila explained Uganda has many talented rising stars who deserve fair airplay.
She asked TV and Radio hosts to play more of their music.

She explained that old school musicians are rigid, they are not ready to learn yet the new talents are open to new knowledge and can take the industry to where we want it to be.

"We have exceptional young talented musicians in Uganda and I believe they are very serious with their craft. We shouldn't be stuck with the old folks, drop them for the young people who are open to learning," she explained during the NBS After 5 show.

Sheila Gashumba also mentioned new musicians like Pasha from Gulu, Spice Diana, Kataleya, and Kandy among others.
