Singer and songwriter, Yesse Oman Rafiki recently parted ways with musician Vivian Tendo, who was signed to Route Entertainment for over years.
He openly confessed that he was hurt by Vivian’s departure from the label.
In a new interview, he said he won't be discouraged from signing new talents under the management.
“We will continue to recruit new talent. I am not alone in Route Entertainment, we will go forward as a team. Of course, we have learned that drafting a contract with a musician is a must. It saves everyone the heartache when things don't work out,” Yesse explained.
He worked with Vivian Tendo from 2018 on a gentleman’s agreement.
“I have been in this business for some time, but I operate on trust. I never signed agreements before, but I have learned a hard way,” he added.
Vivian Tendo and Yesse Rafiki are said to be headed for court over music rights control and other related issues.
