Singer Jose Chameleone has blamed President Museveni and the entire government for neglecting musicians during these hard times of Covid-19.

He said the President refuses to acknowledge that the music industry is very important in the development of this country.

The 'Baliwa' singer asked the government to offer support to the music industry especially to upcoming musicians who have been heavily affected by the lockdown.

Many of them have been chased away from their rental houses and some have turned into beggars as they no longer earn from performances which were banned due to Covid-19.

"President Museveni and the entire government has ignored us as musicians and they have always taken us for granted. Many of the upcoming musicians need support from the government in these hard times," he said during an interview on a local television station.
