The Speaker of the  Parliament of Uganda has asked the government to bring musician Eddy Kenzo back home and clear his bills in Ivory coast including the flight costs.

Kadaga asked  the ministry of Foreign Affairs to work together with the Ugandan mission in Abuja to see that Kenzo returns home.

She said that Kenzo called her on Wednesday afternoon informing her that life is very hard for him and he misses home.

"I have received a phone call from Eddy Kenzo, a Ugandan musician stuck in Cote d'ivoire where he had gone to perform. He is in a dire State and has spent everything he had, he is unable to come home because flights are not available.

I would like to call Upon the ministry of Foreign Affairs, working through our Mission in Abuja, to offer him consular services so that he can be assisted to come back home and also meet his bills," she  posted on her social media pages.

Eddy Kenzo has been living in Ivory Coast ever since the President ordered the closure of Entebbe Airport and the other borders in March this year as measure to control spread of the deadly Covid-19.
