Musician Cindy Sanyu staged her first ever concert dubbed Boom party at Cricket Oval, Lugogo in March and it sold out.
The self proclaimed King Herself earned bragging rights and she is considered by many as the best female musician Uganda. The attention she was getting was cut short by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic that has left a number of people jobless and homeless.
A number of companies and individuals have come out to provide support to the vulnerable poor in different parts of Kampala.
One of Cindy’s fans went on her page and asked Cindy to help her fans who came through for her during the Boom party concert.
“Baby Cindy king herself ....We supported you during boom party. Some support to ur fanz who are starving now....one luv,” Cindy's fan, Ongom Emmanuel
Cindy was quick to respond in a manner that many have branded arrogant and uncalled for.
“It is the truth. There is food for the vulnerable poor like Mr Emmanuel Ongom here. They just need to go to the right place which is not here. It is the responsibility of the govt and your food is with your RDC.Bambi dont starve on my page for nothing,” Cindy’s response read.
