For many who have asked over time if Nigerian Afrobeats artist D'banj and affiliate record label G O.O.D music run by Kanye West is still in business, the answer is in now.

The company seems to have parted ways with the Koko Master as a recent tweet from the record label seems to confirm the fears of many.

The label published an updated lists of artistes signed, both old and newly signed acts including Kanye West, Big Sean, Desiigner, John Legend, Pusha T, Tyga, Teyana Taylor, Kacy Hill and Q-Tip.

The kokomaster's name was conspicuously missing on the list, putting to rest rumours as to whether or not he is still signed to the label.

D'banj failed to release a body of work since he was signed to the label in 2011 alongside then label mate Don Jazzy.

A list of signed artists on Def Jam Records' website also has D'Banj's name missing.

Many have argued that signing unto G.O.O.D Music back in 2011 when he was at his peak on the African continent was detrimental to his career and it seems that's the exact case we see here.
