The lifeless body of a man has been discovered dumped in a bush in Kamususi parish in Kizirafumbi sub-county, Kikuube District.
The decomposing body that was found by locals is of a man believed to be in his 30s.
According to Kikuube Police, the body was found by a herdsman grazing cattle.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, says that the body had bruises on the neck, an indication that the deceased could have been strangled to death.
Police have appealed to anybody with a missing relative to come forward and identify the body that is currently lying at Hoima city mortuary pending a postmortem.
This is not the first time the body of an unidentified person has been dumped in Kikuube district. In December 2021, police recovered the body of an unidentified man from Bugoma Central Forest Reserve in the Kikuube district.
