Police has commenced investigations into circumstances under which two female Chinese nationals were murdered in Kikoni, a Kampala suburb.

This morning the Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura rushed to the scene of crime, where he addressed journalists.

The UGP informed the press that the duo was working as hotel waitresses.

One of the deceased has been identified as Ren-Ju, a 33 year-old woman who was working at Club Seven, in the upscale suburb of Kololo, while the other is Sang-Weng-Wa, also aged 33, a waitress at some Chinese hotel in Bugololobi.

The two were reportedly picked up by an unknown Chinese man who took them to his residence and later stubbed them to death. Kayihura has said that preliminary investigations show that the suspect tried to ask for a Ransom from the women’s’ families and later murdered them.

He has blamed this on lack of neighborhood watch.
