Three weeks ago, rapper Keko was on a twitter rant where she revealed that she no-longer needs to release an album under Sony Music, a record label that she signed to in 2012. During her rant session on Twitter, the ‘Mutima’ rapper stretched out that her label hasn’t paid her any single dime.

In 2012 after the announcement, Keko was supposed to release her debut album, at least according to Rockstar4000’s official website – and this didn’t happen. In the statement, the label was to cater for Keko’s management deal full services, campaign and promos across Africa – which also went to the dogs!

Today, it seems Sony Music let her go after close to three years of shade and several unreleased projects.

Keko took it to her twitter account and said:

I'm finally free. This music thing is a by the way. #BTW could do anything anywhere.

The rapper later tweeted that…

Okay, On to the next Chapter of my life.:):-):]:-]=]=D=):D

However, there’s no official statement about this but hopefully Keko will be kicking it as an independent artiste and we can’t wait to hear some fresh material from her soon.
