Comedian Maulana Kasozi, one half of the renowned comedy duo Maulana and Reign, finds himself in the spotlight once again, this time for issues related to parental neglect. Shubira Naluja, the mother of his three children, voiced her concerns about Maulana's failure to fulfill his responsibilities as a father.

In an emotional interview on Bukedde TV, Naluja shared the challenges she faces in providing for their children, stating,

"He is not doing anything. I struggle to look for what to feed the children. The landlord is demanding rent, and previously he used to visit and leave with pennies which couldn't help us. And when I felt I couldn't take it anymore, he asked me to give him the children."

Seeking help, Naluja turned to Mwanga 2 Court in Mengo, where Maulana was summoned. He initially agreed to provide Shs15,000 daily, cover rent, and pay school fees. However, after three months, Maulana stopped fulfilling these commitments. The landlord has now issued an ultimatum for Naluja to vacate the house due to three months' rent arrears.

With two of the children set to attend school on Monday, Naluja faces uncertainty regarding their school fees. Maulana, in a phone interview with the same station, admitted to falling short in his duties as a father. He maintained that he had requested custody of the children, a proposal Naluja rejected.

This unfortunate situation adds to Maulana's public struggles, as last year, his father-in-law disclosed that the comedian had been disrespecting his wife for several years.
