Struggling singer Gloria Ingabire, known as Pretty Glo, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the kind-hearted individuals who supported her during her battle with drug abuse.

With determination and resilience, Pretty Glo has taken to her social media platforms to extend her appreciation to those who stood by her, offered assistance, and took a firm stance when she needed it most, even while she was still struggling with drugs.

"As you can clearly see and bear witness, this healing process initially began as a mere joke. Like many of you—and even myself—I wasn't entirely sure if this sudden change could bring me this far or help me overcome my struggles without the conventional notion of rehab, as some people believed. I once read a post by Tuff B Sekidde, where he stated that what I needed was not just rehab, but genuine help. It made me realize that there are individuals out there who desperately require attention, a listening ear, and assistance. Therefore, it is essential to take meaningful steps instead of merely observing, judging, laughing at, condemning, or imprisoning them. Let us do something for individuals grappling with drug addiction, substance abuse, smoking addictions, alcoholism, and different sexual orientations. They are all victims of their circumstances. Now, it is evident to me that when God intervenes, He does so swiftly... It may feel like you have been defeated and that nobody truly understands you. But I say to you, have faith, just as I did. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to anyone who stood by me and took action during my darkest times. Even the smallest acts of kindness mattered far more than those who merely ridiculed and made fun of me. Yesterday, it was me, but tomorrow it could be someone else—your brother, sister, or a member of your own family. Let us all learn from our past mistakes. Together, we can create the better Uganda we all desire. Let us embrace a life of love and compassion... This is the story of a narrator from the ghetto," shared Pretty Glo through her social media accounts.
