With the departure of Meseach Ssemakula from Golden Band Production, Haruna Mubiru has advised Ronald Mayinja to also quit and start his band.

According to Haruna, Mayinja has potential and he is popular.

“Mayinja has been in the business for a long time. When I was in Eagles, there are places we’d go to and they’d say those are Mayinja’s places. He is big like that,” Haruna explained.

“If he cannot start his own then he should call me, Kusasira and we do something,” he added.

Golden Band was formed in 2014 and registered as a company after some of its pioneering members left and formed ‘The New Eagles’ over financial differences.

The newly formed Golden Productions Uganda Limited had Ssemakula(19% shares), Ronald Mayinja(19%), Musa Kavuma(10%), Fred Sserugga(10%), Catherine Kusasira(8%), Stecia Mayanja(8%), Doreen Mutiibwa(8%) and Maureen Nantume with 8% as shareholders in the company.

Also, the company appointed Ssemakula, Mayinja, Sserugga, and Kavuma as directors.
