Former Member of Parliament for Rubaga, Kato Lubwama has lashed out at Ugandans who declared him dead a week ago, saying that they should be ashamed.
“I pity you because I am not going to die now. I am fighting and I’m going to win this battle,” he says in a video recorded while in a hospital bed.
He says he doesn’t need people to collect money for him except those he considers his friends.
“Those who are not my friends are creating groups to fundraise money for me. Please stop it. I have my friends. They are there for me,” he adds.
Lubwama is currently receiving treatment for heat-related illnesses in Turkey.
