Towards the end of 2020, Bebe Cool released a campaign song dubbed, “Mwongedde Akalulu” for President-elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The song was, however, not endorsed by NRM. They opted for Ronald Mayinja’s “Mzee Akalulu” which was a big hit among the NRM and opposition fans.
In an interview with Magic 1HD’s Janny P, upcoming singer Zulanda claimed that he had written and co-produced the song for Ugx 50 million but he has never received a single coin. Bebe Cool has since refused to abide by the agreement terms and conditions.
Zulanda said Bebe Cool stopped picking his calls and he has since given up.
A friend to Bebe Cool also claimed that the Gagamel boss is hesitant to pay because the song was not bought by the ruling government as expected.
