On Sunday, the former presidential candidate, Kyagulanyi Robert alias Bobi Wine wrote a letter to the CEO of NBS TV, Mr. Kin Kariisa expressing his dissatisfaction with how the station handled the general elections reporting.
Bobi Wine further accused NBS of allegedly aiding President Museveni to rig elections by setting up a tally center whose results were not from polling stations.
After sharing the letter on his social media platforms, Bobi Wine’s fans started a campaign to boycott the Naguru based TV station and this has raised so much criticism towards his decision.
Senior political analyst Tamale Mirundi has faulted Bobi Wine for his move, terming it as irresponsible.
Tamale Mirundi noted that Bobi Wine could have discussed the matter on a round table with Mr. Kin Kariisa to express his dissatisfaction rather than making the letter public and inciting his fans to unfollow the TV station.
Tamale added that the media has the potential to break a person especially when they gang up against the common enemy.
Tamale also criticized Bobi Wine for putting the lives of NBS TV reporters in danger.
