Who is Kenzo, what are your real names, where are you from?
I was born Edrisah Musuuza Kenzo by mr & mrs Hassan Kiwalabye(the lates) in Masaka District Uganda East Africa.

How was life growing up in Uganda?
Life in Uganda is like any other country in the world where u have to work hard to survive, life isn’t so easy but it’s my motherland and I love it and proud of it.

How did you get started into music? any particular inspirations?
I loved music since I was young it was in me tho I also loved football but music finally took over, abt the inspiration I was inspired by many artists all over, in Africa and the rest of the world. U can get more about me on www.eddykenzo.com

Uganda is very famous for it’s mostly dancehall music influence from pioneers like Bebe Cool, Ragga Dee, Jose Chameleon and others like Radio & Weasel, how did you branch out to more of an ethnic African fusion group like the hit Sitya Loss?

I might say it was for the grace of God, who gave me the knowledge to creat this sweet song, the producer BAUR and everyone who put a hand on SITYA LOSS.

The Kids, they have stolen many hearts around the world with their “random” street dance in the original Sitya Loss video. Can you expound on how the video and the incorporation of the kids came about?
Woooow these kids are so amazing, my first time to see them I had gone for a charity performance in Katwe a suburb of Kampala, I saw them near the stage dancing with joy and love I was so taken buy their moves and they excitement, I went to them talked to them oy to know that they were orphans, since I was also an orphan i had to giv a hand on their talent and education, so wen I did the audio of SITYA loss i thought it would be a good idea if these kids show there talent to the world and by Gods grace all was successful, SITYA loss is touching everyone’s heart, people of all ages.

How are you handling the new international fame?
All is going so nicely with my serious team, and a lot more is in stock coming out so soon.

The “Amateurish” Sitya loss Video is probably the first Music Video from East Africa to go Viral and one of the most Videos overall from music act from Africa, how has this changed you and your style of music?
This has just made me believe in my dream and am so sure am gonna make it come true, becoz I’ve know people I used to see on TV.

I think we have vague idea on how your second follow up video for Sitya loss came about, was there coordination with one of our Africland members?

Africlandpost.com was the first people out of Uganda to talk about sitya loss and i used to check on net just to read the comments, I loved reading the comments and from the views of my fans over the world is where I got the idea of the official video…

Any up coming collaborations going forth since you’ve established your position as an international artist?

Ofcourse a lot more is coming with Teddy A(Nigeria) Toofan(Togo) Stanely Enow(Cameroon) and many more on the way.

Most African parents expect their children to be doctors, lawyers, engineers etc, what is your family/parents take on your music career?

My late parents wanted me to be just successful.

Do you think we’ve reached appoint where young Africans can make a living and retire of music?

Ofcourse yes.

Is music piracy a problem in Uganda and how do you deal with it?

Piracy is a problem here but still we deal with it be coast at the end of the day the people who pirate the music r also Ugandans who r looking for money to look after their families. So it’s a problem but we shall solve it slowly by slowly.

Tell us a bit about the rest of the team, what are their names, what do they do other than dancing and are you still working with them (the children)

Among the kids there is Isaac, Alex, Patricia, Ronnie, Brian.

Should we expect new tracks from you of the same level as Sitya loss or do you think that would a tough one to beat?

Ofcourse a lot more is coming up just watch the space.

All we need is one love, as long as we r one trust me we shall go miles..
