Following marital crisis between Tiwa Savage and and Hubby Teebillz, Bien-Aime Baraza Alusa who is a vocalist for Kenyan afro-pop band, Sauti Sol has taken this whole thing to another level on his Instagram page he declared his love for Tiwa Savage. Sauti Sol is known most recently for collaborating with Kukere singer, Iyanya, a song with which they hope to rise even further on the music charts.
Sauti Sol released their debut studio album Mwanzo on 4 August 2009, to critical acclaim. Their second studio album, Sol Filosofia, was released on 25 February 2011, earning the group a number of accolades and nominations in the process. On 18 June 2012, the band released a self-titled extended play in collaboration with South African rapper and record producer Spoek Mathambo. Their third studio album, titled Live and Die in Afrika, is still in production, under their imprint label Sauti Sol Entertainment, and is set for release soon.
The band has had successful tours in Europe as well as in Africa, topped Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US, as well as television appearances and various accolades and nominations, including their 2011 concert performance in Kenya with South African a capella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. They have been nominated for various awards such as the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards (Best African Group), 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards (Most Gifted East African Video- "Nishike"), 2014 OLX Social Media Awards (Best Use of Social Media for Entertainment), 2014 All Africa Music Awards (Best African Group), and the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards (Best African Act).
