The Nigerian singing duet P-Square, not bunch of upcoming musicians from  Mbiko slums,  Jinja, or the neighbouring areas as you seem surprised. We information that we have the Nigerians, are scheduled to perform in Jinja come October 10, at an event dubbed the Victoria Nile tour 2014.

Our Snoops told us that Faisal Tamale and Edison Kasaijja are the brains behind P-Square’s fourth visit to Uganda, also the first time the duo will be performing in an upcountry town.
Faisal, a clearing and forwarding agent in Jinja, is also Minister Lukia Isanga Nakadama’s son. Kasaijja and Faisal own Victoria Tours, the company that is flying in the Nigerian stars.

Also embellishing the event will be Kenyan songster Amani and singer Samantha J of the Tight Skirt fame.
On the other hand, our sources had articulated concern over the organisers’ slackness in promoting the show, bearing in mind the moneys at stake. The last time P- Square came to Kampala, they charged the promoter $150,000 (about Shs 390m), minus air tickets, accommodation and entertainment costs.

Remember in 2013, the boys were allegedly detained at a Kampala five-star hotel over unpaid bills after a performance. The two had just performed at a concert dubbed “Chop my Money” before the ugly incident occurred.

According to the promoter then, who was in charge of the event, the group was paid for the performance, accommodation and transport according to the signed contract. However, their personal bills went beyond the agreed limit hence the problems. However, they vowed never to go back there come what may. “We will not set our feet back in Uganda,” the twins are quoted to have said.

So let’s wait….
