Is NRM using Balaam to counter Presidential Hopeful Bobi Wine?

In the past, government has used several tactics to gag opposition leaders and it turns out, they are using artistes and other entertainers to fight Kyadondo East member of Parliament, Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, the People Power Movement leader.

People Power’ is a rising political movement that brings together various political activists, politicians and civic players that campaign for a change in Uganda’s political leadership.

Popular events promoter Balaam Baruhagara commonly known as Ssabavulu Balaam is currently in the news for attacking Bobi Wine over Museveni.

On Monday, Balaam informed press that Bobi Wine is a poor musician compared to Museveni.

He says Bobi Wine should stick to  music because he can't comprehend economic policies like fiscal policy.

Socialite Bryan White received money to popularize the NRM government among the youth.

This was evident in Arua when Bryan White was captured on camera campaigning for the ruling party and tipping all supporters that agreed with the regime.

Singer Bebe Cool has also been attacking fellow singer from all angles. He alleges that Bobi Wine was never beaten during the Arua byelections.

Also, each year both artistes have musical shows on 26th of December but last year, Bobi Wine's show was cancelled on allegations that he didn't clear with authorities.

Bebe Cool's event at Kiwatule recreation center went on without hiccups.

In addition, the President pushed for Bebe Cool's show by doing a video drop, calling upon all people to attend at this point it was evident that politics and music were in the same basket.

Lastly, Balaam provides entertainment at all the NRM campaigns, even when the ruling government officials have small events like graduation, and weddings its Balaam marketing in charge.

He has all reasons not to support Bobi Wine
