As media continues to shame fallen educationist, turned sex pest Lawrence Mukiibi for his immoral acts, Uganda National Teacher's Union-UNATU has also joined a section of Ugandans to condemned teachers and head teachers who prey on children left under their care.

James Tweheyo, the UNATU Secretary General, says it is unethical and professionally wrong for teachers to lead learners into temptation, like the serpent did to Eve and Adam, at the beginning of the world.

Mukiibi, a well respected educationist and proprietor of St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges, has attracted all kinds of condemnation from parents, politician, church members and media for siring kids with young women, some of whom were allegedly, his students.

Prof. Mukiibi succumbed to cardiac arrest last week. Dozens of young women showed up at his funeral with children they claimed to have had with the late Mukiibi.

Now, Tweheyo says if it is indeed true that the late Prof. Mukiibi fathered children with learners placed under his care, his behavior should be condemned with the contempt it deserves.

According to Tweheyo, the decision of teachers to prey on their learners affects the reputation of all teachers in the country and reduces public trust in one of the country's oldest professions upon, which Uganda was built.
