The 62 year-old music star recently revealed that none of his £180 million fortune will be left to his children.Sting grew up in a working-class family in Wallsend, North Tyneside, and it seems he wants his six kids to have an idea of what that is like, and not to be privileged all their lives.Even though he is one of Britain's most successful and wealthiest musicians, he told the Mail on Sunday that he is fearful of his fortune becoming "albatrosses round their necks"."I told them there won't be much money left because we are spending it. We have a lot of commitments. What comes in we spend, and there isn't much left," Sting told the newspaper.Adding, "I certainly don't want to leave them trust funds that are albatrosses round their necks. They have to work. All my kids know that and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate."At this current time Sting is estimated to be the 9th richest musician in Britain and Ireland, according to the 2013 Sunday Time Rich List, falling behind megastars such as Elton John and Paul McCartney. The singer also wanted to reiterate that his children don't depend on their father's riches, in fact they haven't been as spoiled as one might think.
