A case in which Rally Ace and flamboyant city tycoon Desh Kananura has hit a kick back after the trial judge Justice Wilson Masalu Museni excused himself from hearing it.

The hearing which was meant to start today, after two years of waiting could not kickoff and has been referred back to the Deputy Registrar High court for re-allocation.

Justice Museni took the decision after a news article run in one of the dailies accusing him of having some hidden interest in the case.

It is alleged that while still serving as the Resident Judge at the Nakawa High Court where this case was in its early stages, Museni refused to forward the file to the main circuit of High Court Kampala for hearing but instead forwarded it after he was relocated to Kampala High court where he then fixed it among the cases he was to hear in this criminal session.

The very disturbed Justice Museni refuted these claims.

In the case, the flamboyant Desh Kananura and four others Raymond Kananura his brother, Nzoreba Samuel, Onyango Jacob and Maganda Cirus are accused of murdering Abdul Kateregga, a bar attendant at (Kananura’s) Panamera Bar.
