My Weekend – In A Nutshell

Talk about a bang for your buck. After that, we bar hop until we finally hit the dance floor – wherever the dance floor might find us that weekend.

My Weekend – In A Nutshell

Let me tell you guys a little bit about how I plan my weekends. My best part of the weekend is the mental preparation, which I dedicate to Wednesday. After ranting about how such a drag Monday is, Wednesday is definitely that light to the end of the tunnel.

Light to the end of the tunnel.

Planned out like a 3-course meal, the weekend starts with a starter that is Thursday, in preparation for the main event. Like any starter; bread, mushroom soup, popcorn, you name it…I pretentiously take it in with enjoyment. A movie after work does the trick. It honestly helps me that I can part with a simple 12k and get my fix to prepare me for what I term as the main meal of my weekend. The main course, Fridayyy. For this, I order for any type of chicken meal from the Café Javas menu, read pre-game at the local cheap bar because Café Javas is what I wish I could eat but my wallet allows for whatever bites the bar I end up going to offers, preferably within the ranges of 5k. I then sit down with my friends. Let me tell you guys a secret, we keep up with where there will be deals, particularly with Club

Let me tell you guys a secret, we keep up with where there will be deals, particularly with Club because it is our drink and we time whatever promotion club has for the week normally in the form of beer buckets. Then we pay for two of those buckets, we are normally a group of 3, and we use that as our fuel for the night. Talk about a bang for your buck. After that, we bar hop until we finally hit the dance floor – wherever the dance floor might find us that weekend.

The dance floor

I save the best for last – dessert. I normally wake up with flashing memories and peeps of laughter from Friday night, with a delicious bowl of cereal by my side. The bowl of cereal is essential I tell you.  I always keep a stack of series by my bedside and plenty of junk food as well. At this point, it begins to dawn on me that the weekend is coming to an end. HOWEVER my consolation will always be the memories I made that weekend, and of course the fact that I will look forward to the next weekend to make some more.
