MUK WiFi Disconnected Over Unpaid Salaries

This morning, WiFi Internet connection was disconnected throughout the University due to the unpaid salaries of the employees of The Directorate for ICT Support (DICTS) Makerere.  

Several internet Providers and supervisors, employed at the Directorate of ICT are on strike over unpaid salaries. As the providers continue to lay their tools down, there’s tension and unrest at the campus, with many anticipating a subsequent strike from the students.

This, entirely, is because students have for the past weeks been preparing for exams, doing research and other related consultations. We hope not to witness a strike soon.
