The acting Bukwo hospital administrator, David Sorowon is in Police custody for alleged corruption and mismanagement of money meant for the construction of the hospital mortuary.

According to Hashaka, the acting hospital administrator failed to explain to the COVID-19 taskforce why the mortuary is still incomplete, yet the government allocated Shs 450 million for the project.

The taskforce later realized that the hospital administrator together with his brother under their company Bakasuku company limited constructed the mortuary themselves and have failed to complete it.

The RDC added that it was unfortunate that patients at Bukwo district hospital were sharing beds with dead bodies due to lack of a mortuary and yet government sent money for the construction of the mortuary.

Now, Samson Lubega the district police commander Bukwo says they will produce Sorowon before courts of law when investigations are complete.
