Musician Kalifah Aganaga made his breakthrough a decade ago with a hit song, “Mina Konda”.

His subsequent songs enjoyed airplay until 2015 when he started to struggle.

In 2018, he collaborated with Jose Chameleone on a song dubbed “Kibooko” that topped charts and looked like it was set to revive his faded career.

However, he failed to keep the momentum and instead diverted his attention to politics where he failed miserably.

In 2020, under his Bad Character Records, Aganaga started writing songs for fellow musicians.

Some of the songs he penned include; “Nakyuka” and Sheeba’s verses in “Kyoyiina Omanya Remix”.

In 2021, Aganaga penned down “Kale Mama” which features Sheebah and Chance Nalubega.

The song has been enjoying massive airplay and it’s one of the trending songs in the country.

Because of this, Aganaga has hinted at quitting singing to concentrate on writing songs full time.

In the past, singer/songwriter Nince Henry quit singing to concentrate on writing full time. However, he recently made a comeback with a song titled "love portion".
