Media personality Douglas Lwanga is worried the music industry may never recover following a second partial lockdown which was announced by Museveni on Sunday.
Douglas Lwanga, who happens to be the brain behind Purple Party expressed his worries saying something must be done to save the entertainment industry. He said entertainers are coming close to two years without performances, most of them are grassing.
The NBS after 5 show host explained that the continued lockdown may force many of the people who earn from the entertainment industry to look for greener pastures from different sectors and this will negatively affect the industry.
Recently, the government released money to support promoters and musicians who incurred losses during the lockdown but unfortunately, a small percentage benefited from the fund.
