The President for Uganda Journalists Association, Hajji Bashir Kazibwe is quitting mainstream media to prepare for the coming 2021 elections.

Kazibwe resigned from Next Media Services last month and the latest we have gathered is that he tendered in his resignation letter to the Human resource manager New vision to concentrate on his campaigns.

Last week, Kazibwe Bashir picked his nomination forms from the People Power headquarters in Kyamwokya after  announcing his bid to contest against FDC strong man Mamerito Munyagwa commonly known as Mugatti gwa Batta for the Kawempe South constituency.

Bashir has been hosting a radio show on Bukedde FM. He also hosted the defunct One on One show with Tamale Mirundi on NBS TV.

Many government officials often accused  Bashir of being biased while on his shows and it is no surprise he is running on the opposition ticket.
