DOADOA is the East African Performing Arts Market that provides a platform for professional networking and joint learning, bringing together various stakeholders, organizations, businesses, knowledge and technology with a view to create demand and develop a market for the Performing Arts and unlock the potential of the East African Creative Industry, making it an important factor for economic, social and cultural development throughout the region.

The Market presents topics that are key to various practitioners within the region with an aim of achieving what could be lacking or missing amongst the various sectors. This year’s programme presents five conferences plus a presentation and 2 practical workshops all free of charge.

Performing and non performing Artists, performing Arts practitioners, cultural practitioners and/or those directly or indirectly connected to the performing Arts sector are invited to attend, interact and learn from experienced professionals within the performing Arts sector(s).

We understand how important it is for those that attend the Market’s day programme especially the local performing Arts practitioners/stakeholders how important it is for them to meet with the various invited and attending DOADOA Delegates/Professionals.

These sessions are happening on Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd from 4:35pm – 5:30pm. We advise you to visit the DOADOA Website (www.doadoa.org) or any of the DOADOA Social media platforms ahead of time, choose the attending Delegates/Professionals you need to meet up with and set up an appointment with [email protected]

One should expect speakers from a number of countries – (Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, Netherlands, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, South Africa, Belgium, Norway, United Kingdom, Australia, Nigeria and Morocco). Their presence and the opportunity to exploit more artistic opportunities are captivating.
