Legendary musician Awilo Longomba arrived in the country on thursday afternoon ahead of his much anticipated “Singleton Awilo Longomba Live In Concert” show.
The long awaited day was Friday and all Kampala’s most celebrated party animals headed to Serena to have a clear glance at one of the biggest musicians Africa has ever seen.
The show that was hosted by Salvador Idringi was opened by performances from local musicians like Levixone and Eddy Kenzo.
Awilo’s band stepped on stage at 10:30 PM as they paved way for the big man who followed thereafter.
Awilo stepped on stage shortly after Jose Chameleone’s performance to serve the long awaited dish. His energyetic and mesmerizing performance kept every reveller on their feet for the next 1 hour as he performed all his hit songs that excited revellers like there is no tomorrow.
Awilo Longomba together with his band climaxed his performance about 11:45 PM but it was worth talking about because it is one of the biggest performances by a foreign musician Ugandans have ever watched.
