The highly anticipated charity match, Uganda cranes all-stars vs Barcelona ended in a 5 - 3 defeat for the Catalan legends at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium.
Uganda Cranes All Stars scored first through Tonny Mawejje’s early in the first half (second Minute) with beautifully placed curling strike…. Barcelona Legends responded with long distance screamer by Skipper Patrick Kluivert as he equalized for the Catalans… However his equalizer was negated by Steven Bengo as he made it 2 – 1 for the Cranes all Stars.
In the second half, Geofrey Sserunkuma scored twice to widen the goal deficit for the legends as Mike Sserumaga sealed the cranes lead with a 5th goal in the middle of the second half… Julio Salinas and Mendieta scored for Catalan legends but it was too little too late.
The charity match end 5 – 3 to the Uganda cranes all stars.
