Zambia head coach Patrice Beaumelle has named 16 foreign-based players to face Uganda Cranes in a friendly on March 5 in Ndola at 18h00 CAT.

The 16 are in addition to 26 home-based players who will go into camp on February 23 in Lusaka.

Injured striker Jacob Mulenga of FC Utrecht in Holland and captain Christopher Katongo who is currently club-less after leaving Chinese side Henan Jianye following the expiry of his contract last October have been named to the team.
The foreign-based players are expected to start arriving in camp on March 2 in Ndola.

Uganda Cranes had hoped to face DR Congo on the same FIFA date, but negotiations with their FA fell through.
In their last meeting at the same Stadium in a 2013 AFCON qualifier, the Chipolopolo beat Cranes 1-0, while the game in Kampala went into penalties that the visitors won after the home side has also won 1-0.

Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is currently out of the country, but we shall name the team early next week so that they can have some days to prepare,” confirmed Mujib Kasule, the FA vice president in-charge of the league and chairman of the technical committee.
