Mpaka Records boss and former Uganda Musicians' association (UMA) President,  Ykee Benda has applauded his predecessor, Cindy Sanyu, for doing a tremendous job in fighting for the interests of the musicians.

Ykee Benda believes Cindy should be supported by all musicians for her works and shouldn't be blamed for any wrongs. He says the "Boom Party" singer is still delivering despite working under pressure.

"Cindy has done tremendous work in the Association. We only need to support her in running the Association.  People like Chameleone are just looking at quick cash but nothing else for musicians," he explained in an interview with local television.

A few days ago, Chameleone formed a rival association named Uganda musicians Federation.

Many critics believe it has no clear objectives for the music industry apart from begging money from the government.
