Nubian Li’s wife, Mutoni Shiko is the new elect LC3 chairperson for Kyanja parish in the Nakawa division.
She had a tough time canvassing for votes especially towards the end of the campaign season due to Nubian Li’s arrest.
She says she was affected emotionally but her spirit didn’t die and she kept pushing for victory.
In an interview with Spark TV, she attributed her victory to Nubian’s in-put saying that he contributed funds and emotional support.
“He supported me in many ways. He gave me money and also pushed me to go for the seat,” she declared.
She also thanked Barbie Kyagulanyi for supporting her campaigns financially even when she was under house arrest in Magere.
"Barbie didn't show up for my campaigns but she contributed a lot financially. She is a blessing," she passionately talked about Barbie.
She, however, noted that there is no reason to celebrate now because her husband is behind bars yet he is supposed to be with her.
