Musician Desire Luzinda went political on Tuesday by lashing out at opposition politicians who overstay in leadership positions.
Luzinda, who now stays in America says that according to her observations, opposition leaders are always criticizing those in ruling government for overstaying in power, yet they are doing the same.
She describes opposition leaders as hypocritical.
“If you are fighting for change then it starts with you. Someone who has been in Legislature for one or two terms and wants reelection whilst preaching democracy... very disturbing, funny and Ironic! Does that mean there are no young contenders wearing fresh ideas and visions? ”
She goes on to urge her fans not elect leaders who have overstayed in different positions.
“Unless one has proved worthiness, do not re-elect the same people that have been in Parliament irrespective of their mother-parties. I know some will take this personally but somewhere in my statement lies the truth," Luzinda concluded.
