Jose Chameleone's hopes of contesting for the post of Kampala Lord Mayor are hanging in balance after it was unearthed that he has no qualifications.

A few days ago, he  claimed  he had scored 12 points in the recently released Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).

Chameleone, who had already sat for UACE in 1998 said his academic qualifications were eligible enough for him to contest for the 2021 but he just wanted to go back to school.

“Even my 1998 academic qualifications were eligible enough for me to contest for the 2021 Kampala Mayoral race. I went back to school because there is a degree that I want to pursue in the USA which is an online course. So basically I wanted to qualify for those Universities in Minneapolis,” Chameleone said in an interview with a local TV station.

However over investigative team has unearthed information that shows  Chameleone might have forged the results.

While the examinations were ongoing in November, Chameleone was mostly outside the country.

He also attended Rema Namakula's introduction ceremony on 14th of November which puts Chameleone's claims of seating UACE exams at stake.

On the 12th day of November, he released a live video while in London and yet there was a paper ongoing on in Uganda.

On the 25th day of November, CRE was taking place particularly the New Testament but he was away but his results show he sat for CRE.

Chameleone hasn't yet come out to clear air about the issue. To contest for Lord Mayor seat, he is required to present a UACE certificate.
