Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has hailed the Reggae Legend and father of African Reggae vibes, Lucky Dube, calling him a true African son.

Bobi Wine says him and other artistes  are inspired everyday to fight for injustices through music like him.

He posted, "Today marks twelve years since Africa lost one of its most iconic, Conscious voices, Reggae star Lucky Philip Dube. Dube used music to preach against injustice and Oppression. He spoke for the forgotten and down trodden.
On this day in 2007 he was murdered in Cold blood. Those who murdered him might have wanted to silence him, but even in death his Legacy lives on. He continues to inspire countless artistes and activists to stand for what is right even in the face of so many dangers and risks. Continue Resting in Power. You are a true Son of Africa."

Lucky Dube was the headline performer during the opening of Namboole Stadium and that is one of the reasons why he is so remembered in Uganda. He was gunned down in Pretoria in 2007 after the release of Slave Album.
