Singers Jose Chameleone and Bobi Wine are some of the pioneers of pop music in Uganda. They single handedly transformed the music industry from band music to pop in the early 2000s.

However on several occasions,  the two have often been involved in petty fights that exposed their immaturity.  It was until Bobi Wine decided to venture into politics that things changed.

Two years down the road, the “badilisha” hitmaker has decided to follow suit and run for the top office at City Hall.

Chameleone attributes this decision to Bobi Wine.

According to him, Bobi Wine opened his eyes to realise that old enough to pursue bigger things.

 “I thank my brother Bobi Wine for opening my eyes, showing me that I am mature. He has made me believe that I can do bigger things for my community. That is why I am ready to be the next Mayor,” Jose Chameleone explained.

Over two weeks ago, Chameleone declared that he was running as  Kampala  Lord Mayor come 2021s
