Independent presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi on Sunday launched his manifesto ahead of the general elections.
During the glamorous event at Serena hotel yesterday, Mbabazi promised Ugandans heaven and earth if they voted him into office.
One main issue in his manifesto was to deal with the cancer of corruption eating up the country. He promised that in the first 100 days of his presidency, the Go forward government would give powers to the Inspector general elections to access financial records of all public leaders and compare them to their declarations.
“Public servants shall be required to not only declare their assets, but also their sources of income.” Mbabazi said.
He added that while still in court, assets of corrupt officials will be frozen and if found guilty, liquidated immediately.
